The Halloween Crowd

I’m really not into Halloween, not REALLY. But people get REALLY involved this time of year!

It’s all in fun though. I totally get it. I guess I was turned of from this play-frightful night when teens in my quiet, suburban neighborhood were beating little children w crowbars, and stealing their candy. I know, I know…not everyone operates in a fashion such as this, but it really turned me off from what used to be a fun night! My girls and I would get together and all go out, trick or treating (yes we were in high school lol); most of us had smaller siblings, and were responsible for taking them out (the horror right?) so we really didn’t mind. But once we started hearing the local news reports of the senseless violence, we stopped supporting the day. We were glad that we didn’t fall victim to the terror, and we were actually content w passing OUT candy. I also like the fact the villages are now setting hours FOR trick or treating for the kids. I’m all about the safety of the babies; I will be a Mom one day, and the LAST thing I want to do is rob my Lil darling from any fun due to my own personal fears.

But I challenge everyone to be safe! It’s definitely fun, if fun is done in decency and in order. No one should get hurt! Save some candy for me! ;0)

Who's Jared Pugh?

(photo provided by Hip Hop artist, Jared Pugh)

So…who IS Jared Pugh?

Well…Jared is “J-Breeze”; the next Hop Hop phenomena, right out of Chicago, IL. Oh…he’s most certainly a factor…keep reading…

Jared is a 20yr old senior at Southern Illinois University (Carbondale), who just dropped his debut mixtape on May 8, 2012 entitled “1 Man Variety Show”. Being only 20, and writing raps since the age of 15, his sound and style is yet beyond his years. Listening to his lyrics, you can immediately sense that he is completely driven by music. He’s not just about sound though…some of his favorites? The late Tupac Shakur, Kanye West, and Outkast…just to name a few. And if you are familiar w the above mentioned artists, you understand that these artists have depth to their lyrics, as well as a hypnotizing sound. J-Breeze is no different.

This humble artist has made a conscious decision to pursue his dreams, and honor his gifts. People were surprised to know that J-Breeze (also a full time comedian) even knew how to rap…talk about a jewel…

Taking it a step further, his production team is just as amazing as the artist himself. “Super Producer” Matcy P is noted w gaining industry credits from the likes of Rich Boy, Erk The Jerk, Da Kidd and a host of others; word of mouth flew through the Midwest and IL college circuits rapidly by the widely respected and immensely talented DJ Commando; the men behind the execution of the innovative sound and delivery, the “Super Engineers” Jeff Jackson (Classick Studios), QG-BO (Bully Music), and Leek Loki (BoUlevards), and more, all played a major role in what you are about to experience after you’ve read this information…did I mention that J-Breeze is ONLY 20?

There is much more to be discovered about Jared, however in an effort to gain a little knowledge about how his mind works, you need to cop the 1 Man Variety show at:

I went early morning on june29 to see this movie. Few things:
1. The theater was PACKED for a 9:45a show. Awesome!
2. Yes, popcorn was consumed that early lol
3. It was a decent plot line; not as predictable as some often say that Mr. Perry’s movie and plays are.
4. I laughed the ENTIRE time almost!! I definitely developed a 6-pack.
5. I love his out takes at the end…really nice that he adds those!
6. Sooooo many different things going on in this movie…and I love how they were all connected!

My review coding:

Hot Pink Nails: MUST SEE
Pale Yellow Nails: It’s cool
Chipped Blue Nails: Wait for DVD
NO POLISH: Waste of time and money

I give this movie HOT PINK NAILS…go check it out!!

Happy viewing!
